Norma Jean Schatze (Kamps) Hanson, 76, of Pepeekeo died in Sun Prairie, Wis. Born in Wisconsin, she was a retired nurse and fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Celebration of life 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Christ Lutheran Church, 595 Kapiolani St. in Hilo. Luncheon to follow. Survived by husband, Donald Hanson; children, Brett (Diane) Hanson, Christopher (Jeannie Hanson) and Michael (Janell Kellet) Hanson; siblings, Donovan (Barbara) Kamps, Marjorie (Fred) Dorn, Janis (Don) Selger, Beverly Hilgert; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Beverly Lafita, 87, of Hilo died Oct 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was the office manager for the former Hawaii Island Glass. Private services held. Survived by husband, Frank Lafita Jr. of Hilo; son, Mark (Tammy) Lafita of Hilo; brother, Glenn Kawachi of Honolulu; sister, Arline Olsen of California; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
